You can now order your repeat prescriptions online by visiting https://www.patientaccess.com/.
Otherwise, please leave your request for a repeat prescription at reception or post it to the surgery. Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. Your prescription will be ready for collection 72 hours later. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope). You may also wish to contact a local pharmacy of your choice to request your prescription from us on your behalf.
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment. This date will usually fall around your birthday. Please help avoid delays in getting medication by booking a “medication review” appointment sometime in the 4 weeks either side of your birthday. This appointment may be with the appropriate nurse if annual blood tests or blood pressure checks are due. Your review date is clearly marked on the right hand side of your prescription sheet.
IMPORTANT info for patients – BE AWARE of non-NHS repeat prescription services
We are aware that repeat prescription services that are not legitimate NHS services are currently being advertised. Be cautious if an individual offers to pick up your prescription for you at a cost. Anyone signing up to a service like this should be aware that it is not endorsed by, or aligned to any NHS organisation. Patients will be signing up to a private contractual agreement between themselves and the individual providing the service. We would strongly advise any patient thinking of signing up to this service to ensure that they consider whether it complies with data protection act (DPA) and data protection regulations (GDPR) in relation to how their information will be stored and processed.
Any advertisement for a legitimate NHS service offering repeat prescription services will display the NHS logo and the contact details of the organisation(s) providing this. If you have any questions or concerns about a service that you have seen advertised in your local area, please check with us, please ring 01642 746909, or contact Judith McGuinness (email@example.com)
ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION SERVICES
The Practice have the facility to send your prescription electronically to your pharmacy of choice. This will save you having to attend the Practice to collect your prescription. If you would like to use this facility, please contact your pharmacy to ask them to nominate themselves as your pharmacy of choice. Your prescription will then be waiting for collection from your pharmacy 72 hours from request. Thank you.
