Access/Disabled Patients

Access

Snow and Ice weather conditions are monitored by the Landlord of the Practice.  If weather conditions are likely to cause significant ground frost or snow during normal surgery working hours then within 48 hours a 1 metre walkway/access route  will be gritted from the public footpath providing access to the main entrance doors.

We encourage all staff, patients and visitors to utilise the treated walkways and routes when such conditions exist.

Disabled Patients

There is good access for the disabled to all of our consultation rooms. A designated parking bay is adjacent to the surgery entrance and the surgery has a ramp and wide doors to allow for wheelchair access.

Text Relay

Patients that have difficulty hearing or who are unable to use a telephone verbally are able to use Text Relay to communicate with the Practice from a text phone.  The user can type a message from their keyboard in confidence through an operator.  The operator reads it word for word to the person at the Practice.  The staff member will then respond, and the Text Relay operator types exactly what is said so that the patient can read the conversation on their textphone display panel.  All calls made via Text Relay are confidential and the service operates around the clock. The text phone user simply needs to dial 18001 plus the full contact number to access this service.

For further information about Text Relay please visit their website.
