Urgent Care Services
Telephone 999 if you require urgent care and are in a life threatening situation.
If your problem is less urgent, or if you need care outside of practice hours, please telephone 111 or visit the NHS 111 Website.
The NHS 111 team will assess you over the phone and determine the best course of action. They have the ability to give you an appointment at one of four South Tees Access Response (STAR) centres: Bluebell Medical Centre in Acklam, North Ormesby Health Village, Redcar Primary Care Hospital, and East Cleveland Hospital in Brotton. These centres operate an appointment based system, so you won’t be able to just walk in.
Please note that Coulby Medical Practice can also offer some appointments via the STAR service. We will allocate these if and when they are available and if we are unable to meet your needs or can’t fit you in when you call the practice.
