Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwife.

By arrangement with the midwife

Mother and Baby

For advice and weight checking. Vaccinations for all children up to age 5

By combined appointment with the nurse or doctor

Vaccinations

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

We run a flu jab clinic in late October.

Ask at reception for further information.

Please note that many holiday travel vaccinations incur a private fee as these are non NHS services.

We routinely call up all those in high risk flu categories.

Asthma and COPD

Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication.

Learning Disability Health Checks

We offer all patients, 14 yrs and over, with Learning Disabilities an Annual Health Check.  This is carried out by one of our Nurse Practitioners.  You will be invited for this if you are on our Learning Disability Register, but an appointment can also be made by telephoning the surgery.

Blood Pressure

Annual blood pressure monitoring and advice for those on treatment (including annual blood tests if appropriate). The nurse will discuss up to date medical advice and recommended treatment.

Heart and Vascular Disease Clinic

Annual heart check (including blood tests) for all those with heart disease, or any other “vascular” disease (This includes, strokes, mini-strokes and peripheral vascular disease).  The nurse will discuss up to date medical advice and recommended treatments.

Pharmacist Clinic

If you have concerns about any of your medications, our Practice Pharmacist will be delighted to assist and advise

Diabetes Clinic

Our Specialist Diabetes Nurse is on hand for any advice. She will see you at regular intervals to monitor your progress and dicuss lifestyle along with up to date recommendations with respect to your treatment

Counselling

You can be referred to our practice Counsellor by the doctor. Please discuss this with the doctor.

Physiotherapy

If you have had physiotherapy before for the same condition, or the doctor has recommended physiotherapy, you can book this through reception.
