Virtual Consultation Platform

Sometimes when we return your telephone call we may be able to better understand your problem if we can see you virtually.

We now carry out remote video consultations, much like face time etc where you can both speak to, and see, the GP on your mobile device.

We may also ask you to send a picture in for us to look at, e.g. of your rash or sore throat.

We use a service called AccuRx for this. Answers to some common questions are available on the AccuRx patient website.

REMOTE VIDEO CONSULTATION – We will send you a text message with a link to a website – you click on the link and it connects us online. This video shows you how to start the video consultation.

SENDING A PICTURE – If we request for you to send a picture, this video will show you how to send us one. You may also find this video useful about how to send us a clear picture of the back of your throat.

 

Apps

There are a handful of extremely secure online services which allow patients to book appointments with a doctor and even order repeat prescriptions via the internet.

Our most popular online services are the NHS App and the Patient Access App. (note that Patient Access can also be accessed through the internet at their website.)

Use your computer, tablet or smartphone to book appointments, order your repeat medication, and access other useful services.

To be able to access these services you will need to download the app and register for it. You may need an individual access code and ID code, and reception will be able to issue you with this.
